1 mukhi or Ek mukhi rudraksha is the most auspicious , divine and powerful gift of nature to mankind. The round Nepal 1 mukhi rudraksha is a myth. Though they are mentioned in puranas, they are almost non-existent. The other varities of 1 mukhi rudrakshas that are available in the market are half-moon/crescent/cashew shaped from India and cylindrical/rice shaped that come from Indonesia (Java). The half-moon belongs to a different species of the rudraksha tree named Elaeocarpus Tuberculatus or Elaeocarpus augustifolius and is used as an alternate or substitute of the 1 mukhi rudraksha.
